Woke Is the Gospel of the Petty Bourgeoisie
"Woke and politically correct attitudes come from the urban petty bourgeoisie! I feel it myself after clashes with so-called 'fact-checking'. Participating in the 'public debate' today through writing opinion pieces is virtually impossible if one does not adhere to politically correct viewpoints! I used to appear frequently in the bourgeois press in the past. Today, editorial offices reject contributions to the debate if one demonstrates the ability to think critically and in a problem-oriented way!
Censorship permeates the public debate through social exclusion, algorithms, and shadow bans. This grotesquely leads to self-censorship among the fearful, who psychologically cannot handle social exclusion. Diversity has disappeared from the public sphere. This is not surprising. Fascistoid and autocratic structures are rooted in the petty bourgeoisie. Historically, we saw this with German and Italian fascism in the 1930s. Fascism today has changed its appearance, because the subtle dictatorship hides behind beautiful phrases about parliamentary democracy, freedom, and the erasure of contradictions between social classes!
The victims of the dictatorship are demonized through social phobias that evoke associations with public book burnings and the horrors of Kristallnacht. Russophobic politicians and the fourth estate—the media—add fuel to the fire of demonization! The phobias are not only Russophobic! They are also a gigantic projection of creeping dictatorial wokism! Even the so-called 'left wing' has today ended up in the politically correct identity-political swamp!
What should be done, Lenin would have asked? It is clear that the urban petty bourgeoisie is an extension of the economic and political interests of the ruling class. Any progressive challenge to capitalism, colonialism, and imperialism will be suppressed. The desperation among those in power in the economic Western centers is spreading. The elites within the ruling class and their epigones in the urban petty bourgeoisie do not willingly relinquish power—they centralize it!
Faced with BRICS and the Eurasian axis, which will assert the nations' right to self-determination in an equal international economic cooperation without sanctions and with free trade as the priority, imperialism crumbles into nothing! The unwillingness to relinquish power manifests itself in rearmament, wars, and aggression from NATO and American imperialism. U.S. imperialism seeks, through the Monroe Doctrine, to control the nations of South and Central America, the Caribbean, and the Arctic. At the same time, attempts to seize strategic resources and oil in Venezuela, Iran, the Middle East, and Russia are expressions of imperialist circles desperately clinging to power!
Energy and food security are about seizing control over peripheral nations so that one can impose an economic policy based on the neoliberalism of the World Bank and the IMF. The neoliberal dictatorship is characterized by the rollback of the state, privatizations, liberalizations, and the suppression of labor rights, all meant to secure the dominance of capital!
More clearly than ever, the final confrontation between imperialist exploitation and another world system is emerging. Globalization must not be secured through imperialism and the supranational centralism of the EU state. Equality among nations, the right to self-determination, and an independent national economic policy must be based on humanism and democratic socialism. The fascistoid, deceitful bourgeois and petty-bourgeois parliament belongs on the garbage heap of history!"
